Eating Iloilo is Epic

I guess nakakarelate ang travellers nito. Yung tipong kakain ka sa isang lugar at ipu-poopoo mo sa iba after a plane trip. Madalas nangryayari sakin 'to in my lakwatsa kasi. I do kain-poopoo".

'Pag laag kasi, especially to places I haven't been yet, I try to explore ang lasa ng kanilang food. I actully think may difference dahil sa water ng lugar or something. Haha. Boom.

But anyway I've stepped on Iloilo grounds for the first time and stayed there mula May 7-13. Made possible to ng paghire nina RB and Mimi Asis ng services of Green Tomato Weddings to shoot ang e-session at wedding day nila.

We went there 5 units: Jason & Joanne Tan, Heintje F., Gerson "Kuya Jun" O., and yeah me. We went home 5 1/2 kasi nanambok kami kakakain.

Saan-saan nga ba kami kumain sa Iloilo at tumaba kaming lahat pag-uwi?

1. Tatoy's Manokan & Seafoods
Astig dun kasi beside the beach.
Sa Tatoy's ko rin first naexperience ang Ilonggo hospitality - they're so kind I'm gonna die!

2. Floyd's
In Floyd's we had our first Ilonggo dinner. It can be found sa Smallville. Manamit bala ang among dinner.

3. Nothing But Desserts
Who's got a sweet tooth? Nakupo! When we got to the place, I wished I hadn't eaten a lot mula Floyd's.
And again di franchise ang Nothing But Desserts. Ganun kagaling ang food business sa Iloilo.

4. Deco's Original La Paz Batchoy
Siyempre sikat ang Iloilo sa kanilang La Paz Batchoy and we hit Deco's one night in Plazuela. We had pre-war pandesals to match one of the original recipes of La Paz Batchoy.
Mejo sweeter than usual ang Deco's Batchoy unlike others.

5. Terra
We had a Mediterranean dinner sa Terra! Owyeah. Nasa smallville rin 'to. That night, we wanted to slow down sa eating kaya we thought sa Terra kakain kasi malamang maliit-liit ang servings. Pero hala.. Wala parin. Umuwi kaming bundat.

6. Ted's Old Timer La Paz Batchoy
Nag-lunch kami dito. Grabeng kain kasi may beef batchoy sila so we had to like try it and try it's extra special pork batchoy rin. Powera uy!

'Tis me!
7. Maridel's
Maridel's is another original dessert establishment sa Plazuela. I super love everything they have especially yung Ice Cream burger - Vanilla ice cream be Palaman, Thick Chocolate Chip cookies be Buns.

Bottomless Popcorn Baby!
8. Mojave Grill & Steak House
We had their Buffalo Wings, Pork Ribs and Sausages. Grabe! It was a hearty dinner in one Smallville night. At grabeng tuwa namin sa bottomless popcorn. Masarap din naman kasi - salty sweet.

9. Biscocho House
To you who come to Iloilo, don't go home ng di bumibili ng pasalubong na Butterscotch, Meringue and Biscocho! Bow.

So burrrp baby burrrrp!
I left GenSan 65kg and came home 70. That's what Iloilo makes you do = forget about diet. Haha.

Densho "Champ" Biala - Ang Dakilang Kain-Poopoo!

Iloilo is homey. Simple cosmopolitan ang dating.
Iloilo is interesting. Uhuh!
Iloilo is special! Ilonggos are very kind, courteous, hospitable, gentle, malambing and stuff, especially our clients who treated us more like guests than suppliers, RB and Mimi Asis co. Mary Ann Mantiling.
